Sunrise in Fujairah
First of all, I seem to be having a technical problem with WordPress (the blogging engine I use here). The comments get globally disabled on every single post without me actually doing anything. So in case you wanted to leave any comments in the last couple of days, this is the reason why you couldn’t. I’ll try and keep an eye on this issue, but if any of you know why this might be happening, I would appreciate the help.
As for today’s shot, I took it a while ago during a weekend away in Fujairah. As opposed to most of the sunset shots I post, this was taken just before sunrise. For those of you not living in this part of the world, Fujairah is one of the 7 emirates that make up United Arab Emirates and is located on the east cost of the UAE at the Indian Ocean.
In terms of post-processing, the final shot is made of two separate exposures, one for the foreground (the sea and the rocks) and one for the sky. I blended these two exposures in Photoshop and then increased the contrasts using a couple of curves.
