Textures
Today I’m going minimalistic… It’s probably not the usual type of photo you would expect from my blog, but I was looking through the photographs I took while in Petra (Jordan) earlier this year, trying to find a photograph inside the Wadi Siq that could somehow portray how awesome this place is.
One of the things that really stayed in my mind was the way the walls curved around creating these really cool lines and textures in the rocks. To capture this I waited for quite a while at a few spots, trying to catch them without any people (which is almost impossible, considering how busy this place gets!). If you look in the bottom right part of the picture, you’ll still notice a couple of ghostly figures that sneaked into my frame. I could have removed them in post-processing, but I think they actually add to the overall image.
As always I would love to hear what you think of the shot (particularly because it’s a bit more unusual for me).
