If you’re reading this blog for a while, you’ll be familiar with the Baobab Avenue by now. It’s an area in the West of Madagascar which I visited both this year and last year and with which I fell in love.
I’ve spent quite a few hours photographing this place and the best part of it is that everyday it seems to look slightly different. Last year, the pond had quite a bit of water in it, while this year it was almost dry. The sky was also very different this year because there were quite a few fires around the area which generated a lot of smoke in the sky. As you can see in the image, I was playing quite a bit with my tilt-shift lens, tilting the viewing plane of the lens and getting only a bit of the whole image in focus. I’m quite happy with the way it ended up, but as always, I would love to hear what you think.
