When I ran the photography workshop last week, one of the problems we had was the thin layer of sand in the air, which made photography quite challenging, particularly when trying to photograph the whole Dubai skyline. So we quickly switched locations for the blue hour, moving in closer to the Business Bay area in order to be able to capture better details in the buildings.
I didn’t shoot much during the blue hour as there were quite a few questions being asked by the students, but I did manage to grab the image below which I’m fairly happy with. One issue that needed correcting (because we were so close to these tall buildings and shooting with wide angle lenses) was the perspective. This is an easy fix in Photoshop and if you roll over the image to see the original you will see it makes quite a difference.
