Within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), there is a complex of office buildings called the Gate Village. It’s a very interesting place to photograph because the buildings have these nice vertical lines that seem to be perfect for photography. Also, the exterior of these buildings looks good in most HDR images because the surface turns very gritty when tone-mapped.
I posted some more images from around the DIFC before, but I think this particular one is one of my favourites. I post-processed it using a range of 7 exposures, tone-mapped in Photomatix. I then used a few curves to alter the local contrast on the buildings and in the water as well as making the yellow on the bottom right side stronger.
