The Matrix
As I’ve mentioned in my previous post David and I were out shooting in several locations last Thursday and one of the locations I wanted to show him was this awesome building in Dubai that looks like it’s a set from the movie “The Matrix”.
Over the past few months I have been really looking for shots similar to this one – strong, simple angles with very well defined leading lines and the more I shoot this sort of stuff the more I enjoy it. It usually makes the post-processing a bit more challenging, but not because there are many things to fix. It’s more difficult because with an image like this I always feel that black and white is the best choice as you really want the simplicity of the image to come through and yet sometimes the colours are actually really interesting and so you struggle for a few hours to decide which way to go. I would be really interested to know if you would have preferred a colour version of this image or if you think black and white is the way to go?
