Mirage
There’s been a couple of strange days in Dubai this week with temperatures soaring well into the 40s (Celsius that is!), with some very unusual heavy rains coming down yesterday – if you’re not familiar with this part of the world, rain is pretty much non-existent in the summer months! Just as with the last image I posted, all this weather got me thinking about another shot that I’ve been meaning to post for a while, an image of the Burj Khalifa and other buildings in the Business Bay area of Dubai, reflected in the waters of the creek.
It was taken a few months ago, very early in the morning and as with quite a few of my recent images, I really struggled in post-processing to decide if I should go with the colour version or the black and white one. The colour version definitely has its merits, particularly because the sky was so blue. However, in the end, I went for the black and white version as I really liked the simplicity of it all. Of course I would be happy to hear which one you would have gone for.
