The regular readers of the blog know that I travel quite often to Musandam, in the north of the Arabian Peninsula, for diving and spearfishing. However there is another part of Musandam which I haven’t mentioned before and that is the central region where all the high mountains are. We camped a few times at the top and there are beautiful views of the valleys below. In this photo you can see Jebel Harim, the highest peak in Musandam standing at 2087m. Also, because the roads are quite difficult, from place to place you will find makeshift helipads (like the one below) that provide access in case of an emergency.
