It’s been a very busy week and as you’ve probably noticed the updates on the site have been slow. I’m afraid it won’t get any better next week as I am traveling to Zanzibar, but once I’m back from there I should have quite a bit of sunny, bright new material to post.
In the meantime I will leave you with yet another aerial image as I seem to really like these sort of shots for the last few months. The one below was taken from the Observation Deck of the Burj Khalifa, looking down at what used to be Defence Roundabout. Defence Roundabout used to be a major traffic bottleneck a few years ago in Dubai and the government decided to build a huge system of overpasses and flyovers. It is not getting close to completion and it makes for an amazing sight when viewed from above. I really wanted to also capture one of the Dubai Metro trains in the shot and I was lucky enough to get the train right in the middle of all these highway lines.
