My time in Hokkaido is quickly coming to an end with only two more full days of photography left before I head back to Tokyo.
It’s been a really successful photographic trip for me with plenty of interesting images and although before coming here I thought I will be doing mostly black and white images, I’ve been fascinated by all the colours around me, from derelict buildings to impressive colourful boats. As you can imagine, I will be blogging quite a few photographs from this trip and I’m also hoping to turn some of these images into a small colour series for a photobook.
For now, I will leave you with this series photographed this morning. It’s a triptych with images of a house we found on the side of the road, almost completely snowed in. Unfortunately, there is no original image for this one on roll-over, but if you’re interested I can tell you that it’s pretty much as is straight out of the camera with the exception of a few foreground elements removed from the snow (a couple of tree branches).
