Long weekend this weekend since it’s the UAE National Day and we’re off to Oman for a bit of camping, snorkelling and sightseeing. We’ll try a part of Oman where we haven’t been for more than 2 years. We’ll be going to the coastal area between Quriat and Sur passing by “the white beach”, Bimmah Sinkhole and Wadi Shab. I hope it hasn’t changed too much with all the development that’s been going lately in Oman.
Update: Wadi Shab is as beautiful as ever, but unfortunately most of the palm trees and gardens in the wadi have been destroyed by Cyclone Gonu which hit Oman in June this year. We camped on the beach somewhere close to Tiwi and although we didn’t take a lot of pictures here are a couple of photos, one from Wadi Bani Khalid and one from our camping spot.
