My absolute favourite thing about going to Oman is when I get to interact with the locals as it always proves to be such a friendly experience.
This was the case last week when we were in Masirah Island, looking for photography subjects. My friend Issa wanted to photograph some local fishermen and we found this old man on the pier in the main harbour waiting for his sons to return for a long day fishing. He was a bit worried about them as they were still fairly young, but once they came back we all got invited for a cup of coffee and some Omani sweets which were absolutely delicious. I manage to take one quick shot of him looking into the setting sun and in the end I preferred how it looked in black and white.
