Taking a break from my Iceland and Greenland posts, I thought it was time to post a Dubai image. I haven’t been out shooting around Dubai for a few weeks now, but as the weather hopefully improves in the next few weeks, I should be able to get some new material. I have a few series to work on so really looking forward to the winter.
At the beginning of May I had a D4s camera on loan from Nikon for a few days so I went walking around Deira and see what I can find. If you’re not familiar with Dubai, Deira is one of the older neighbourhoods of Dubai. It’s full of narrow streets with a lot more street activity then the newer areas of the city so it provides lots of opportunities to interact with some of the people making a living working in this part of town. The guy I photographed was taking a short break between delivering merchandise to one of the souq shops and he was kind enough to sit still for a couple of photographs.
