Iceland is one of those places where it’s really difficult to make a bad landscape photograph. Pretty much everywhere you look there’s a “postcard” moment and it was the same on this really gloomy looking evening (the photograph was made at 10pm) when the weather was really not that great. It was during the photography tour I lead there last year, and it was pouring rain, quite cold and very windy. We were all perched on the edge of this cliff, trying to get an interesting angle on the rocks below, while trying to keep the lenses dry long enough to make an exposure.
If you’re into landscape photography and if you would also like to get a chance to experience and photograph the Northern Lights, I am running another tour in Iceland in October this year in collaboration with Gulf Photo Plus. It should be a great experience and if you want to sign up all the details are here.
