Arashiyama Bamboo Forest #1

Although I was not very lucky with the weather when I visited this famous bamboo forest on the outskirts of Kyoto, I ended up actually enjoying the rain while walking through the forest paths as it gave everything an even moodier feel.

It didn’t make for easy photographs though, trying to hold an umbrella at the same time you’re shooting is not the most straight-forward thing. Particularly when you have to wait tens of minutes at the time for the crowds to disappear behind a bend.
