Contrast
Whenever I photograph the Burj Khalifa I get fascinated by the way the light reflects on the tower and how it can completely change the way it looks in the space of just half an hour.
So a few evenings ago I used my 300mm lens to capture some new close-ups of the building and although the colours were not so spectacular as in this previous shot, I did manage to come away with the image below which I post-processed with a heavy s-curve and a black and white red filter (if you roll over the image to see the original, you’ll know what I mean).
Also, since I was going for a very sharp, heavy contrasted image I also used the Topaz Detail 2 plugin to push the building details even further.
