Earlier today I had to look through some Dubai images I photographed previously and I came across this one which I never blogged, shot in 2021. Although it’s very similar to a photograph I made in 2011, it’s definitely not as strong as that one.
I feel photographing the downtown area is getting more and more difficult as the sweeping views you could photograph 10 years ago are not really there anymore – so many buildings have been built that getting a clear view of Burj Khalifa is quite tricky nowadays. On the other hand, it’s very interesting to see how the city is changing and how the cranes never seem to disappear.
