Future Island
No, it’s not an actual futuristic island I’m talking about in this post. I had a great walk this morning through Deira with a friend of a friend who is visiting Dubai at the moment. I took him down to the Deira fish market and around the Naif area and we were lucky with some beautiful soft light filtered through heavy clouds just before they opened up and flooded the whole place.
The beauty of walking through this part of Dubai is that you never know what you are going to find in all these small alleys, particularly early morning when the shops are still closed and people are slowly starting their day. I spotted these two guys sitting down in what I think was their shops before opening them and I loved how it all looked like different layers coming together.
