On ice

Dubai summer is well on its way, with the temperatures already starting to reach into the mid 30s Celsius so at this point in the year, my mind starts to wander, thinking of cooler places and greener pastures. The plans for an epic summer trip are coming together, but until I’ll share more about those, I thought I’ll just blog a shot of some cooling ice.

I’m sure if you’re in any way connected to photography, you’ll know the location for this one as it’s been photographed many many times. It’s the beach at the Jökulsárlón Lagoon in Southern Iceland where the ice breaking up from the glacier is being washed up on the volcanic sand.
