Picnic under the truck #1
Over the weekend I went for a walk to an area I’ve been wanting to photograph for quite a while. Every time I drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi I notice the huge empty area next to the Jebel Ali Industrial Area filled with trucks because of its closeness to a few blocks of flats used by a variety of workers and drivers. Compared to Deira or Bur Dubai it’s a very different place to photograph and interact with people, particularly on a Friday when a lot of the drivers will have picnics around (or under) the trucks and where they like to keep to themselves (it might have something to do with some of the empty beer cans I spotted thrown on the floor in a few places).
For now it was just a short walk and although I came back with a couple of images I like, I would definitely like to explore this area a bit better.
