Shielding from the sun
I don’t often go out photographing the streets, but every time I do, I feel like I don’t do it enough as I really enjoy it.
A couple of weeks ago I had a few free hours in Lisbon and ended up walking a lot looking for areas where the late afternoon sun was creating pools of light leaving everything else in the shadow. Usually, if you underexpose by a couple of stops, you can really isolate whatever is in the sun – in this case, this woman who looked like she was looking for someone.
