I’m sitting at the Lagos airport in Nigeria waiting for my flight back to Dubai after a pretty crazy 24 hours here, doing a talk on interior and architectural photography for Nikon Middle East. There were over 800 people registered and in the end over 400 actually showed up which makes this the largest crowd I’ve spoken to since I started doing this. Not only it was a large crowd, but they were also very enthusiastic and asking lots of questions about photography and the business of photography. Afterwards I spent over 30 minutes just taking pictures with everybody which was pretty entertaining (have a look on Instagram here).
As for the photograph, unfortunately I had absolutely no time to make any photographs in Lagos and I had to settle for a couple of shots through the car window and this shot of the security guard’s shoes at the hotel where the event took place. It was obviously cleaning day for him and the shoes were all super shiny!
