I don’t know exactly what made me think of this shipwreck I photographed in Argentina while on a road trip through Tierra del Fuego (maybe it was this image I was looking at recently while researching Iceland again), but when I did look again at these images I realized I didn’t actually post any from there.
Just like the famous character from Shakespeare’s Othello, Desdemona had a tragic end to her life, being run aground in 1985 while on a trip from Comodoro Rivadavia. She is listed as being built in 1952 in Hamburg and she is now accessible at low tide from Cabo San Pablo where we returned for two days to photograph her. The second day offered us some very moody clouds which were the perfect backdrop for such an impressive sight.
