Waiting for low tide
For some reason, I just remembered Zanzibar today – I’ve been there three times already and it’s definitely one of those places I would never say no to.
Probably the strongest memory of all my trips in Zanzibar is the strength of the light – everything shines so bright! I’ve been to other places with white sand beaches, but Zanzibar is really bright and every time you make a photograph on the beach, you really have to pay attention to your highlights. As for this photograph, this is a fairly common scene – a local woman waiting for the low tide in order to walk out on the reef and collect seaweed.
