This photograph is part of a larger series of photographs I made in Japan a couple of years ago. I was in Hokkaido for a couple of weeks in the middle of the winter, when the light and the landscapes are spectacular. Most of the fishing boats get put up on stilts on land in order to protect them from the incoming sea ice which floats down from the Russian coastline. I have only posted one other boat so far, but over the next few weeks I’ll try and get all of the images on the blog.
If you cannot wait to see them, all the images are available in the shopping section and you can order them as A5, A4 or A3 signed prints (I can do them even bigger, but for that you would need to get in touch). They are printed on beautiful FineArt Hahnemuehle paper – either matte or glossy.
Also, to celebrate the upcoming 10 year anniversary of the blog, I have a 10% discount for any prints until the end of August – just enter “tenyears” at checkout – and the shipping is still free for the GCC.
