As this post gets published, I will be making my way to Hokkaido in the North of Japan for 12 days of snow, winter landscapes and hopefully some great food and even better stories. I’m not so much looking forward to the super-cold temperatures that the region experiences, but I definitely can’t wait to create some new photographs and kick off 2015.
And since we’re talking about winter landscapes, this is how winter looks like in one of my all-time favourite spots – Nazaré. This small town on Portugal’s Atlantic Coast has recently become famous because of the massive waves being surfed there when big storms are raging in the Atlantic, but for me, it’s still a quiet, idyllic seaside town with great seafood and wine. If you’re curious how it looks in the summer you can have a look at this photograph I posted a few years ago.
I’m sure the next winter landscape I’ll be posting will be a very white affair, but until then, I wish you a great 2015!
