A lonely tree
When I was in Hokkaido last year in the middle of the winter, one of the things I photographed a lot were trees. As the entire landscape was covered in snow, these lonely trees looked very minimalist, somehow very Japanese.
This photograph was taken during the first day of the trip, while playing with my 24mm tilt-shift lens to emphasize even more the strangeness of the landscape.
