One of my main goal for this trip to Japan was to explore the architectural side of Tokyo, learning a bit more about Japanese architecture and architects and photographing some of the amazing buildings.
High up on my list was a building designed by the well known Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Completed in 2012, the building has a really small foot print, but a really striking shape, which really stands out in this area of town. I actually went twice to this location as the first time I was there it was raining quite a bit and I really wanted to make a warm, sunny image of this structure.
