Downtown Dubai before and after

While shooting this year for a client of mine, I got the chance to add one more image to my Dubai before and after series. This time it’s a view from a very photographed place in Dubai – the top of the Shangri La Hotel looking towards Downtown Dubai. It’s a view that has changed quite a bit over the years and the old photograph I used was made in February 2016.

There are quite a few buildings that weren’t finished at the type – the Address SkyView, the Kempinsky Boulevard (which also used to be called The Address Boulevard) and those talls towers that now cover the Dubai Opera from this vantage point.
