A couple of days ago, I landed back again in beautiful Iceland. I’ve been looking forward to this trip for quite a while as I have never been here during the winter or spring. I couldn’t wait to see some of the familiar places covered in snow and ice!
Weather in Iceland can be very hit and miss even in the middle of the summer so I was keeping an open mind when it comes to lots of rain or wind or anything else Mother Nature might want to throw at us. But so far it has been quite mild. The sun has been shining for at least half of each day and with the exception of some very strong wind at Vik and a bit of rain at Gullfoss it really hasn’t been bad.
The photograph above is so far my favourite from this trip (and possibly one of my favourite Iceland photographs) and it was made a few hours ago in the Vik area as the sun was slowly going towards the sea.
