Those of you following me on Instagram might have seen a few of the drone images I’ve been posting there from Portugal. I’m spending quite a bit of time this summer in Portugal so I had a few ideas of using the drone to work on a series of images showing some of the well-known spots in the country in a new light.
There’s no better place to start that then at the Cristo Rei statue, overlooking the 25 de Abril bridge. I was lucky with a really interesting foggy day and although I was careful to fly the drone just under the height of the statue so I don’t interfere with anything flying above, I’m still really happy with this image – it’s probably one of my favourite photographs I’ve made this year!
