Following my previous post where I was talking about how immune you become to new buildings going up in Dubai, one thing I am not immune to, are old places and neighbourhoods and parks and trees slowly disappearing making way for manicured lawns and palm trees arranged in a straight line. So whenever I see a couple of old Acacia trees I have to stop and make some photographs as at any moment they could just be cut down and replaced by some shiny new concrete and glass apparition.
