The year is quickly coming to an end and so are a couple of things related to my photography. Firstly, the voting for the Photoblog Awards will be finishing soon, so if you’ve enjoyed the images I’ve been posting this year, a vote would be appreciated.
Secondly, TwingeDXB is in full swing and will be ending on the 16th. There’s lots of really cool things going on there and last night the comedy evening drew quite a crowd. My prints are also there with a nice 20% discount, just in time for Christmas!
Moving on to today’s photograph, it’s probably the last (for now!) in my “Foggy sunrise” series and it’s somewhat inspired by a shot David took a couple of years ago in Dubai. I loved the way he framed the Burj Khalifa and as soon as I saw the crane hanging above the edge I knew I wanted to incorporate it into the composition. It’s definitely not as strong as David’s image, but I still like the way it turned out.
UPDATE: Following a comment from David and a friend of mine, I’ve decided to extend the image on the right side as the framing works better.
