I haven’t posted a photograph of the Mothership (aka my car) in quite a while and a few weeks ago when my son and I drove to Saudi Arabia to chase the Dakar Rally we stopped to camp at a nice location called Judah Thumb. I am still not clear why this particular name, but it’s an interesting place that made for a cool backdrop for my car.
My son had already gone to bed and I killed some time by setting up my tripod and positioning in such a way that the rising moon would be blocked by the rock structure. Although it’s not really a great photograph, it’s one of those photographs that describes very well the feeling of wild camping.
