Nanga Parbat under the Milky Way
Taking a break from posting images from around the UAE, I thought I should post some more photographs from my trip to Pakistan last summer.
I’ll start with this beautiful view of the 8th tallest mountain in the world, Nanga Parbat, under a fairly visible Milky Way. The top of the mountain is so lit because the moon was just starting to rise – as you can tell from the rays of light at the right side of the image. It was a magical, although quite cold, evening sitting in the Fairy Meadows camp watching the moon rise over these spectacular mountains.
