One of the downsides of running a blog for a long time is that you start running out of ideas on how to title your posts. I am usually pretty good at remembering if I’ve used a name or not before, but this one I didn’t. If you look for the same post title, you’ll see I’ve posted two images with the same name taken in Portugal a few years ago as opposed to this one which was taken in Georgia.
More specifically, this place was on the way to the village of Ushguli in the Svaneti area of Georgia. We spent most of the day driving some really bad dirt tracks and after about 6 hours of driving and only about 60km of actual distance, we got to this spectacular spot where we could see the Caucasus Mountains in the distance (over 5000m peaks) and these beautiful green valleys full of interesting shadows.
