One of the highlights of visiting Iceland are the beautiful horses present on almost every farm you pass by. They somehow seem to fit within the Icelandic landscapes and the best part about them is that they are very friendly. Whenever you stop next to a fence, they will come to check you out, providing great photographic opportunities.
I took the shot above during my first day in Iceland before the rest of the group arrived and I was lucky with one of the few days of sunshine we’ve had throughout the trip. I noticed the horses walking towards the right and figured if I waited long enough I’ll get them nicely aligned. I didn’t have to wait long, but the moment happened pretty fast as they carried on walking and they were soon out of the frame.
