I’m taking a quick break from posting images from my recent trip to Pakistan to go through the archives and post another image from the gorgeous Faroe Islands from a trip I did a few years ago.
If you have a look through the previous images I posted from Faroe Islands, you’ll find an image made in pretty much the exact spot as the one above, but slightly earlier in the evening. It was a gorgeous late afternoon and evening and although I was waiting for darkness, hoping for some Northern Lights (which didn’t happen), the Big Dipper started shining just above this fjord – if you’re not familiar with the big dipper it’s the star formation visible in the Northern hemisphere made out of seven bright stars.
