The floating city
The morning of October 18th last year was a very good morning for photography. It provided me with what is (so far) my most popular image and with many others that show Dubai in a way not seen very often.
The image below was also taken during that same morning and since the fogs seem to have come back for a couple of days in the last few weeks, I thought it would be relevant to post it now. As with the others before, it was taken from the roof of one of the buildings on Sheikh Zayed Road, looking towards one of the sides of Dubai’s main highway, where the only things visible through the fog where these tall buildings with the rising sun reflected on their right side.
I’ve pushed the Photoshop curves quite a lot for this image in order to get some of the texture in the clouds back and I’ve also used a couple of selective colour enhancements and one red curve to bump up the colour of the sunrise.
