Just like Iceland, Faroe Islands is a place full of legends and one of the most well-known legends is that of the Giant and the Witch, the two rocks seen to the left of this photograph.

The legend says that the giants of Iceland were jealous on Faroe Islands so they sent the Giant and the Witch to bring Faroe Islands to Iceland. They worked throughout the night trying to pull the islands towards Iceland without much success and when the sun came up they were turned to rock. They have been standing there ever since, looking towards Iceland.
