This particular building in Tokyo was also on my list to photograph when I was there last week, but until doing an architectural tour of the city with Tokyotecture, I didn’t really know much about the history of the building which it seems it’s quite colourful.
The Iceberg (also known as the Audi Forum) was designed by CDI (Team of Creative Designers International) for Audi to host their Tokyo showroom. There are quite a few elements of the building that were designed in order to accommodate the Audi branding and although Audi was there for close to 8 years, they eventually left the building which now is unoccupied for quite a while.
