I’ve spent the last week shooting for a client in Doha and although we were on a pretty tight schedule and most days were 6am to 6pm affairs, I did manage to get out into the city one of the days and shoot a few images for myself as Qatar has some really interesting buildings for architectural photography.
I concentrated quite a bit on the Tornado Tower, a 195m structure, as I really like the architecture and it’s one of the towers in Doha’s West Bay that’s not yet too crowded in. I was also using the new 19mm tilt-shift lens from Nikon which meant I could get closer than usual to the tall buildings without having to spend hours in Photoshop fixing distortions.
