In the midst of all the constant pandemic news it’s easy to forget about any other news out there, but a couple of days ago the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, has been hit by a fairly strong earthquake. As you can imagine, in a time of lock-down and quarantine this is not an easy thing to go through – so spare a thought for the people of Zagreb as they go through an even more difficult time.
One of the buildings affected by the earthquake was the beautiful Zagreb Cathedral which seems to have lost the top of one of the spires. I photographed the cathedral in 2015 while on our road trip from Dubai to Romania (if you want to read more about the time I spent in Croatia then head over to the blog we kept during the trip). The image above is a two shot vertorama photographed with the 24mm tilt-shift lens.
