The other morning while I was photographing the fog slowly creeping its way between the towers of downtown Dubai, I couldn’t help think about how much the city has changed in the last 10 years. I first visited Dubai in 2001 and then moved here 10 years ago and looking at this particular scene I realized that the only buildings which were already there at the time were the small white buildings in the lower left part of the image and the rocket shaped small(ish) building on the right.
From a technical point of view, I took this shot with my 24mm tilt-shift lens and it’s actually two shots flat stitched side by side (meaning I’ve shifted the lens left and right to get everything correctly aligned). I think I prefer this one to the previous shot taken from the exact same spot, but as always, I would love to hear what you think.
