A slice of Portugal from Momentary Awe on Vimeo.
I visited Portugal for the first time about nine years ago having met by future Portuguese wife almost ten years ago and just like I fell in love with the girl, I also fell in love with the country. Portugal has so much to offer from amazing views of wind swept beaches to big surf and small hidden coves. A couple of years ago I took a drone to quite a few places around the country and although the resulting video above took two years to see the light of day (thank the lockdown for giving me the time to finally sit down and do it), I hope it will give you a little bit of a taste of what Portugal is.
As for the music for the video, I’ve been a fan of the Romanian band Suie Paparude ever since I was about 15 or 16 years old. When I started my first job ever at Atomic TV in Bucharest (the first Romanian music TV station) I was 21 and super happy to find out that the founding members of Suie Paparude, Michi and Dobrica, were some of my new colleagues. We became friends over the years and they have gracefully allowed me to use their song “Baby Satellite” from the album “E suflet in aparat” for this video.
