The Akorda Presidential Palace

Continuing with my series of images of monumental architecture in Central Asia (more here, here or here), this is the first image of the Presidential Palace in Astana, a huge structure that sits on the same axis as the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and the Kazakh Eli monument.

I have at least one other shot of this building which I’ll probably post in the future as I returned to the same place one evening to see how it looks once it’s lit up.
