Continuing with my series of Dubai images photographed with a tilt and shift lens, heavily tilted (vertically like Gerald pointed out on Twitter and not horizontally like I mentioned in my previous post), this photograph was taken just before sunrise from Souk Al Bahar, overlooking the pool where the Dubai Fountains are.
What strikes me every time I photograph the Burj Khalifa is how different it can look at different times of the day. I have a photograph taken exactly 7 minutes before this one which looks completely different (I’ll post that in a few days). This is mostly because of the glass they used and because of the tallness of the building, which means different parts of the building catch the sunlight at different angles.
