Early 2011, I posted this shot of what used to be the “Defence Roundabout” on Sheikh Zayed Road, which was just being finished into a complicated system of flyovers and tunnels. As you can see, it wasn’t quite ready, with a couple of roads finishing abruptly and the landscaping not even started.

Fast forward 5 years, last week I took the photograph to the left and it’s all nice and ready. Every time I get above Dubai, I cannot be left in awe at how much this city has grown in the last 10-15 years.
