My favourite shots of 2014

One more year is passing by and for me it feels like 2014 was over in a flash. It’s been a very busy year with lots of photographic adventures and many assignments for some really awesome clients. As usual, this is my year end post, but as opposed to the previous years when I was picking one favourite shot for each month of the year, this year I am picking my top 12 favourite images for the year. This makes it easier with the selection and hopefully it will give you the opportunity to see some of my favourite images in one post.

In terms of numbers, I’ve taken about 15,000 frames this year (without including the photographs taken with my iPhone) and I’ve flown 32 flights. As for destinations, my favourite for the year was definitely Greenland, which is a spectacular place where I would love to come back someday.

2015 is looking like an even busier year, with quite a few travel adventures and workshops in some really cool places. I’ll start the year in full force with a 16 days trip to Japan, in particular to the very wintery Hokkaido where I will catch up with great friends and hopefully get to photograph some beautiful winter landscapes. After that it’s Vietnam in February for a personal trip and right after that a really cool tour I’m organizing with Gulf Photo Plus going back to Iceland to photograph the Northern Lights and some more moody landscapes – you need to book this one soon as it’s filling up quickly. In April it will most likely be another tour in Japan for the cherry blossom festival (I’ll announce the details soon) and then in late August, yet another really really exciting photography tour to witness the great migration in the Masai Mara (this one you can already book here as there are only a few places available and these sort of trips book very quickly).

Also, in late May, I will be embarking on a two month road trip from Dubai to Romania and back, via Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey and Bulgaria. I’m really excited about this one as a celebration of being for 10 years in Dubai and you’ll hear more details about it as the date gets closer.
